Just left a birch biting workshop with Pat Bruderer and not only is she an amazing artist who’s bringing back an important traditional art but she’s an excellent teacher as well. I think her art is uniquely beautiful and would make an amazing blanket that touches so many nations and tribes.

The work of Pat Bruderer is exceptional. At life-size the bitings are powerful in their original format of birch bark, so delicate and complex. I had the privilege of using one of Pat’s pieces for an exhibition and had a biting printed and enlarged to a length of 12 feet; the intricacy of the pattern held perfectly and it looked amazing on a larger format. The work would be outstanding on a large blanket! Good luck Pat Bruderer.
