The Eighth Generation team has selected 13 semi-finalists after a tough and careful review of over 200 submissions from talented artists all across Indian Country! This blog announces the remaining 7. Check out our blog announcing the first 6 Semi-Finalists! After a period of community feedback, we will decide on the final 4.
We encourage you to show love and support for this year's semi-finalists (and the previously highlighted Honorable Mentions)by leaving a comment about your favorites! And remember - the pieces below are samples of the artists' broader work, not necessarily wool blanket designs - so you'll have to use your imagination! A link to the artists website or social media pages has been added whenever possible.

My favorite is Jessica Harjo’s piece!! The colors pop, the floral designs are universal and birds are wonderful creatures who have always played an important role in Indigenous People’s history! My vote is for Jessica Harjo!! 💚💚💚

Jessica Rosemary Harjo..the layers of warm colors of reds with the layers of cool green colors compliments nicely within her entire art work. The designs within expresses her connection to her strong tribal cultural heritage. Overall, her art is very beautiful..

Jessica Powless is such a talented Oneida artist and her design is gorgeous. I would buy that design on anything!
