Continue ShoppingThe Eighth Generation team has selected 13 semi-finalists after a tough and careful review of over 200 submissions from talented artists all across Indian Country! This blog announces the remaining 7. Check out our blog announcing the first 6 Semi-Finalists! After a period of community feedback, we will decide on the final 4.

And remember - the pieces below are samples of the artists' broader work, not necessarily wool blanket designs - so you'll have to use your imagination! A link to the artists website or social media pages has been added whenever possible.

PPS! I just want to also say that Jessica Powless’s design would also look amazing wrapped around you!

p.s. Another reason I voted for the Ikerson Hopper design is because it is so Distinctive. I could see people always asking, where did you get that blanket?! And non-natives not mistaking it as decorative (not sure if that’s the right word, but hope that makes sense!). I like some of the other designs a lot too! But this is one that is gonna look amazing whether wrapped around you (thanks to the horizontal design being assymetrical) or probably anywhere, at home or out! And it feels powerful too!

Well it looks like Pat and Geo have their people enthusiastically behind them, but I gota vote for the Ikerson Hopper design (no personal connection to me), it totally stands out. I think it would appeal to both men and women and is so memorable and unique. Not just a pattern, not just an image, but the best of both. I can see it’s not exactly black and white but it’s a blanket that would look great in any situation! I love it
